Elon Musk appears to agree with many that the extra-secretive cryptocurrency expert Nick Szabo might be Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of the digital currency bitcoin.
In a podcast published on Tuesday, when Musk was questioned regarding what he opined concerning Nakamoto’s identity, he told the artificial-intelligence researcher Lex Fridman “You can look at the evolution of ideas before the launch of bitcoin and see who wrote about those ideas.”
Tesla billionaire said he, of course, didn’t know about who is the creator of bitcoin
The Tesla CEO stated that though he “obviously” had no information about who created bitcoin, Szabo’s thesis appeared fundamental to forming the leading cryptocurrency.
He added, “It seems as though Nick Szabo is probably, more than anyone else, responsible for the evolution of those ideas,” continuing further “, He claims not to be Nakamoto, but I’m not sure that’s either here or there. But he seems to be the one more responsible for the ideas behind bitcoin than anyone else.”
Bitcoin was initially introduced back in October 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto, a pseudonym for who people expected could be one individual or multiple people.
A team of linguistic researchers analyzed Nakamoto’s bitcoin whitepaper
In 2014, a group of linguistic researchers explored Nakamoto’s bitcoin whitepaper along with the writing of Szabo and 10 other probable creators. They found the results to be indisputable.
The researchers stated, “The number of linguistic similarities between Szabo’s writing and the bitcoin whitepaper is uncanny,” further added, “None of the other possible authors was anywhere near as good of a match.”
According to a 2015 New York Times report which was also pressed on bitcoin’s creation on Szabo. He has voiced in public the history of bitcoin and blockchain technology, but he has continuously declined assertions that he is the mysterious inventor behind the digital asset. He is associated with bitcoin because he created the “bit gold” cryptocurrency back in 1998.

Supporting his opinion, he cited William Shakespeare to say, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
