Boba Fett Episode 3 Release Date, Start Time, Trailer, and Disney Plus Schedule for the Star Wars Series

The third episode of the solo show of the famous bounty hunter of Star Wars, Boba Fett, is to be released on Wednesday, January 12th

What Is the Book of Boba Fett

The Book of Boba Fett is a solo series that follows the famous bounty hunter of the Star Wars franchise, Boba Fett, and his partner Fennec Shand on new exciting adventures. It is a spinoff series from The Mandalorian.

The character of Boba Fett is played by Temeura Morrison and Shand is played by Ming-Na Wen sho we have already seen in action in the Mandalorian. The armored bounty hunter is the first Star Wars character to get its series.

In the Mandalorian Season 2 post-credit scenes, it was shown that the pair had taken over the former palace of Jabba on Tatooine. This implied that Boba is establishing himself as a crime lord on the Outer Rim of the galaxy.

It is still unclear if the goal of him capturing power on Tatooine is the end goal or just a stage in a larger scheme that he has planned.

Even though he is a clone of Mandalorian foundling Jango Fett, he denies his ancestry and is very unlikely to be concerned about Bo-Katan Kryze’s attempt to reclaim Mandalore from the Imperial Remnant.

He could also be attempting to construct a criminal empire like it was done by Darth Maul in the Clone Wars decades earlier

Is the Series Only About Boba Fett?

It was told by the actor that the series is not entirely about Boba and his destiny. He said that he could not say much but in the series, we are going to see his past and his natural character development.

He said that somebody had pointed out that the character seemed to be stuck in one place and that it was time to give the character his fair share of time and story and find out more about his journey.

Also, another question that was left unanswered for a long was where Boba had been since The Empire Strikes Back.

This is verified in a TV spot released by Disney on Nov. 29, in which we see Boba submerged in bacta, the Star Wars universe’s miracle healing medication, implying that the series will show his rehabilitation following his tragic brush with the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi.

Trailer and Release Date

The trailer of the series gave a very aesthetic and Star Wars-y vibe which the fans loved. The first episode was released on 29th December 2021. The Season 1 of the series is reported to have seven episodes which are titled in a similar fashion as that in The Mandalorian, as chapters.

The full titles of the episodes as well as the other characters are kept under the wrap. The second episode was released the next Wednesday and now the third episode will be released on Wednesday, 12th January.

The first episode ran for almost thirty minutes whereas the second episode ran for fifty minutes. The third episode is expected to be 45 to 50 minutes long.

What to Expect From the Third Episode

The first two episodes have already been released and what they have revealed is that how the bounty hunter, who was considered dead by many, went from plunging into a Sarlacc pit in The Return of the Jedi to becoming the Tatooine recluse introduced in the second season of the Mandalorian.

Fortunately, episode 2 of the series has left enough room for the third episode to cover, including the repercussions of the return of the key Star Wars figure.

Fans are all hyped after the two episodes of the solo series have been released. The wait for the third episode is soon to be over.
