In Johnny Depp defamation trial, Morgan Tremaine, a former employee of the entertainment website TMZ, testified on the witness stand. Tremaine, a former field assignment manager for the news agency, testified that he dispatched photographers to photograph Amber Heard leaving a courtroom in 2016 after receiving a “tip-off.”
“She was going to stop and turn to the camera and display the bruise,” he said in court. The tip came from a news producer, according to Tremaine, who didn’t reveal the source, but that means it was from a reliable source.
Photographers were spotted outside the courthouse after a judge issued a restraining order against Johnny Depp, according to Heard’s testimony.
As part of his testimony, he refuted the claims that Heard’s team leaked the video to TMZ showing Depp smashed up his kitchen. It was unclear whether Johnny Depp Witness Tremaine was referring to Heard, but he did say that the video that was sent to the jury was shorter than the one that was shown.
Tremaine claimed that the part where Heard was ‘sniggering at the camera,’ according to the tip TMZ received from an “anonymous” source, wasn’t in the video. Tremaine did not reveal the sources of the tips while testifying, but Twitterati believes his facial expressions revealed a lot. Take a look at the following tweet:
When you’re describing how you got the kitchen video can you let everyone know that it came from Amber Heard, but only using your face?

It was Tremaine’s challenge to Heard’s attorney Elaine Bredehoft in court that shook Twitter. When Bredehoft pressed him on whether he was only on the witness stand to get his “15 minutes of fame,” he flatly denied the claim, saying he stood “to gain nothing from this.”
Depp’s team objected to the question but despite this, the Judge allowed him to respond, and he replied with these words: “This puts me in the crosshairs of TMZ, a highly litigious media outlet. I could say the same thing as taking Amber Heard as a client. I find that to be purely logical.”
Depp’s crew could barely contain their laughter as they watched Elaine Bredehoft’s reaction on camera. The rebuttal was met with a visceral response from the audience members. Shocking reaction videos and screenshots flooded social media, with many people laughing aloud at the courtroom drama.
“Ladies and gentlemen the TMZ guy is a legend for ROASTING Elaine before signing off,” read a tweet.
Someone else said, “Elaine just got SERVED.”

“THE WOMAN WAS TOO STUNNED TO SPEAK,” said another while responding to the viral video.
While this was going on, according to court documents, TMZ argued that Tremaine should not be forced to reveal information about a source who had provided him with a video of Depp yelling at Heard and slamming cabinet doors. Lawyer Elaine Bredehoft for Heard also objected to Tremaine’s testimony, saying he should have been identified as a witness sooner in the case.
However, Depp’s lawyer Ben Chew pointed out that Tremaine had not been subpoenaed and would be testifying of his own free will. For more such updates do follow us only on leedaily.com.
