The Kardashians Season 2: Our time with the Kardashian-Jenners on television was supposed to end with the tragic finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The Kardashians, a Hulu/Disney+ series, quickly followed, which was great news for fans of the reality stars. The first season of The Kardashians was chock-full of all the usual KarJenner family angst, as well as some new ones.
Aside from the adorable highs and tragic lows (Kim’s sex tape battle and Khloé’s reaction to Tristan’s paternity issue), the season had a few more highlights as well. Fans, of course, can’t wait to see what’s next. Here’s all we know about the upcoming second season of The Kardashians.

The Kardashians Season 2 Release Date
It’s a big deal, folks. A release date for the second series of “The Kardashians” was announced in mid-July, along with the publication of the first teaser. ‘#TheKardashians @kardashianshulu’ Khloé Kardashian said on her Instagram grid: ‘Season 2 coming September 22. #TheKardashians’ “Season 2?,” read the caption on the show’s Instagram page. See you September 22 on @hulu, Disney+ globally, and Star+ in Latin America.
It was filmed between October and December 2021 and premiered in April 2022, with the first season continuing through June. The first season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which consisted of just ten episodes, was the exception to the rule, with the family releasing one to two seasons a year. Season two is expected to be filmed between April and July of 2022, including the family’s trip to the Met Gala, and to be released in September of that year. We’re pumped and ready to go!
Is the Kardashians Season 2 filming now?
That the second season of The Kardashians has begun filming so soon after the first is over is intriguing. A few months after the premiere of The Kardashians, in June 2022, Kylie Jenner shared a look at the set of the show, posing alongside a golf buggy and two trailers used during production (look for the director’s chair as well). The photo was taken only weeks after the premiere of season one.
“Days on set with @kardashianshulu,” she wrote in the caption, so it’s clear that filming has begun. The post is here.
How Long Ago Was The Kardashians Season 2 Confirmed?
S2 was hinted at the end of the season finale of the Kardashians. “To be continued” appeared on a slide at the end of the episode. Danielle King, the show’s executive producer, and Kris Jenner recently discussed upcoming episodes (more on that below).
What has been Said About The Kardashians season 2?
Everything about this year is exciting! In an episode of Deadline’s Crew Call podcast, momager Kris Jenner and Kardashians producer Danielle King discussed what’s to come on the program. Danielle has verified that cameras were present at Kourtney and Travis’ Italian wedding in May, which is a crucial storyline point. According to her, “We’ll tease it and say you have to tune in,” said, “We are covering it.” She continued, teasing for more information: “It’s going to be incredible, I’m certain of it. Everyone will want to watch.”
Who will be in season 2 of The Kardashians?
Of course, we expect the important family members to return. Kris Jenner, Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner, are all on the list. Travis Barker, Kourtney’s new husband, had a lot of screen time in season one, as did Kourt’s ex Scott Disick, so we’re anticipating both of them to be returning.
Rob Kardashian did not appear in season one for reasons presumably related to his wish to remain out of the spotlight, and it is probable that this will continue in season two. Meanwhile, Kim’s new boyfriend Pete Davidson did have a small audio-only appearance in season one, with many fans hoping for him to join the cast properly in a second series.
Discussing whether we can expect Pete to appear on screen, producer Danielle King told the Crew Call podcast, “Whether we have in-depth storylines, that’s entirely up to him…that’s entirely a conversation between Kim and Pete.” Danielle did tease some scenes where we might see Pete joining Kim on camera, including footage filmed during their Met Gala red carpet appearance.
She explained, “He’s legitimately a part of Kim’s life, and so for those bigger moments – like when they went to the Met Ball – Pete was with her. He’s not like, ‘Get the cameras away from me.’ He joins in.” Here’s hoping there’ll be more Kete in season two!
