Jayson Tatum 1 Release Date: The Future of Basketball Footwear is Here!

Ahead of Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game, Jayson Tatum presented his first signature shoe in full. The Boston Celtics player posted a series of images of him and his kid Deuce displaying and donning the Jordan Tatum 1 on Instagram on Sunday morning.

Four alternative hues of the shoe, which were produced by Jordan Brand, will be available. The majority of the shoe is black and a deeper shade of red in the “Zoo” colorway, which has a darker tone.

The “St. Louis” colorway has a paler shade because the majority of the shoe is white with blue accents. The “Barbershop” colorway features a majority of grey with small accents of black on the heel and shoelaces.

The “Pink Lemonade” colorway is exactly what it sounds like: a sneaker that is primarily pink with minor accents of lighter blue and green.

Tatum has a different significance for each color. Because the zoo is his son’s favorite destination, the “Zoo” hue is called after, well, the zoo.

The “St. Louis” colorway, which contains the St. Louis Cardinals‘ colors, pays homage to his hometown. The “Barbershop” colorway was inspired by Tatum’s “unwavering confidence” following a haircut, and the “Pink Lemonade” colorway was drawn from one of his favorite beverages.

Due to the use of a lightweight TPU frame for the tooling that eliminates extra weight, the Jordan Tatum 1 will be the brand’s lightest performance shoe released this season.

The forefoot of the shoe features an uncaged Zoom Air bag to help with energy production, and the upper is made of a lightweight mesh that appears to have a padded collar to support the ankle.

According to Jordan Brand, Tatum requested a shoe that felt snugger on his foot. In a statement about his first signature shoe, Tatum said, “I want people to feel like they can connect to me.

“I recall going into the store as a child and searching for the players’ signature shoes. I felt in sync and somehow more connected to them the moment I saw the shoe or put the shoe on.

I, therefore, want this sneaker to serve as a link between my supporters and me, bringing the two of us closer together.

Tatum, a Jordan Brand athlete since 2019, has been hinting for over two years that his first signature sneaker, which only a few NBA players generally get, is on the way.

Pictures of Tatum’s shoe emerged in January, and the internet was flooded with satirical comments about it. Tatum claimed that the images of his shoe at the time weren’t accurate.

Although it is unknown when Tatum will debut his unique sneaker on the court, most athletes do it at a high-profile event, and Sunday’s All-Star Game would be a perfect fit.

In a few months, fans will be able to own the Jordan Tatum 1. The shoe, in all four of its hues, will go on sale for $120 on April 7 through Nike and a select group of Jordan retailers.
