Bruce Springsteen and Michelle Obama shared the stage on Friday at a performance in Barcelona, Spain. The former first lady was spotted performing Glory Days with The Boss and the E Street Band while playing the tambourine. According to The Hill, the concert occurred in Barcelona’s Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium.
According to reports, the wife of director Steven Spielberg and actress Kate Capshaw joined Obama and Springsteen on stage. Spielberg and the former president were both present for the concert but opted not to perform on stage.
In 2016, Barack gave Bruce Springsteen the Presidential Medal of Freedom; he had previously backed the former president during his two presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012. He performed at numerous political gatherings.
Spielberg, Capshaw, and the Obamas toured Barcelona before the event. The lovers strolled across the city while holding hands and visiting the Moco Museum, which hosts modern art exhibitions.
Reuters reports that the former president, Spielberg, and Springsteen shared a meal at Amar in the Palace Hotel in Barcelona on Thursday. The restaurant’s chef, Rafa Zafra, claimed that Spanish-American chef José Andrés told him it was “a very important table, but that we should please not say anything” when the appointment was made only a few hours in advance.
