As soon as the news came out that Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn had broken up after Dáting for more than six years, new rumors about their relationship began to spread. The new rumors say that she is Dáting another well-known British person.
On May 3, The Sun said that Swift was seeing Matty Healy, the lead singer of the band The 1975. Many fans didn’t believe the rumors at first, but they have since seen signs that the two might be Dáting. Check out the Tweet below:

Healy was seen at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in Nashville on May 5 and 6. He even played live with Phoebe Bridgers at the May 6 show, when she was the first act. A few hours after the second show, the Daily Mail published what it said were pictures of Swift and Healy in the back of an SUV on the way to Swift’s Nashville apartment.
Some fans think that the pair have been giving each other secret messages onstage. Swift seemed to say while singing “Cardigan,” “This is about you, you know who you are. I love you.”
A TikTok pointed out that Healy seemed to say the same words when 1975 played in the Philippines just two days before. At the same show, before the band played their 2016 song “She’s American,” Healy allegedly said, “She sure is,” which seemed to confirm the Dáting reports.

On May 8, Entertainment Tonight said that Swift and Healy “have been hanging out recently” and that Antonoff, who works with both of them and is a friend, set them up. “Taylor and Matty like each other,” a source told the news site. “Taylor has a crush on Matty and they are having a good time hanging out. Matty also thinks Taylor is awesome and incredibly talented, too.”
Even more, the source said that “they Dáted briefly in the past,” which Healy has already rejected. “It’s not really anything to talk about, because if she wasn’t Taylor Swift we wouldn’t be talking about her. She wasn’t a big impact on my life,” He told Q Magazine in 2016 that she didn’t make a big difference in his life.
At the time, he felt very strongly about going out with her. “If I had gone out with Taylor Swift I would’ve been, ‘F*cking hell! I am NOT being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.’ You know, ‘F*CK. THAT,’” he said. “That’s also a man thing, a de-masculinizing, emasculating thing.”
Still, the two musicians have been fans of each other for a long time. In 2015, Healy wore a T-shirt of Swift’s with the cover of her 1989 record. Swift wore a t-shirt with the band’s name on it after she was seen at their London show.
More recently, in January, Swift surprised everyone by showing up at The 1975’s show in London to play “Anti-Hero” for the first time. But while the band took a break, she sang by herself, so Healy did not join her on stage.
Before, an Instagram account called DeuxMoi spread a story that Swift was Dáting Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso. The two have never been linked together, and they haven’t said anything about the rumors.
However, the 41-year-old race car driver made fun of the story on social media. “Race week era,” he wrote as the title of an April 24 TikTok video of him smiling at the camera while a sped-up version of Taylor Swift’s Midnights song “Karma” played.
