Ray Stevenson, 58, has passed away. He was an actor who participated in popular TV programs, including Rome, Vikings, and Dexter. He has parts in the Thor movies and the Divergent series, and he also guest starred in Band of Gold, Peak Practice, and Murphy’s Law in the United Kingdom.
Viewpoint, his public relations company in the United States, confirmed his deαth to the BBC but did not disclose any other information. There has been no official word on what caused his deαth, although he was apparently hospitalized while shooting on Ischia.
He was filming an action movie called “Casino in Ischia” when he passed away. A public announcement of his passing came just four days before his 59th birthday. Although he was born in Northern Ireland, Stevenson spent his formative years in England.

1964 he was born near Lisburn, County Antrim, where his father served with the Royal Air Force (RAF). His formative years were spent in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, after his family made a move there.
After witnessing John Malkovich in a play on London’s West End, Stevenson decided to pursue a career in acting. His first TV role was in the Catherine Cookson drama The Dwelling Place, which he prepared for at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
