People are very interested in the story of a lost submarine, and many want to know who was on board. But it’s important to treat this issue with care and respect for what’s going on right now. At the time this was written, information about the people on the missing submarine was still being investigated and confirmed.
Speculating about who is involved can be both wrong and insulting, given how serious the situation might be. We’re thinking about the families and friends who may be waiting nervously for news, and it’s important not to jump to conclusions before the authorities have finished their search and rescue efforts.
Who is on the Missing Submarine?
More information about the five occupants of a private submersible that vanished while on an expedition to study the Titanic’s ruins is coming to light as the search and rescue operation for it continues.
British businessman Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his adolescent son Suleman, and French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet are among the confirmed travelers. Also on board is Stockton Rush, CEO of OceanGate, the firm that runs the boat.
The Titan submarine, which was carrying a crew of five including a pilot and four others, lost communication with its support ship on Sunday while diving to the Titanic disaster site in the North Atlantic.
