What Really Happened to Foxx?

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne, who is 29 years old, said in a statement shared on social media on April 12.

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” she said. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Since Foxx was taken to the hospital, there have been different stories about how he is doing. Most stories said that the actor was getting better, but one source told Radar on Tuesday (9 May) that his friends and family were “hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.”

In her 12 May post, Corinne directly criticized Radar’s report. On April 20, Martin Lawrence, who was in the movie Bad Boys, told Extra that Foxx was “doing better.”

“My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person,” he added.

On May 3, Foxx broke his social media silence and thanked fans for their support.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed [prayer, heart and fox emoji],” the actor wrote on his Instagram Story.

Foxx also thanked Nick Cannon for taking over as host of the Fox game show Beat Shazam when he couldn’t do it anymore.

“Everybody at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer,” Beat Shazam wrote on Instagram.

“Man, I’m praying. I literally have been saying prayers out loud,” Cannon said.

On May 4, actor Kevin Hart also said that he thought Foxx was getting better.

“The dope thing is that he’s getting better in his situation, and everybody’s prayers, everybody’s love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt [by him],” Hart told hosts Logan Paul and Mike Majlak on their Impulsive show.

“In this case, you just want the guy to get out of the situation and get back home.”

Hart said, “I don’t know the details – or the exact details – as to what’s going on, but to my knowledge, there’s a lot of progression and a world of better.”

Foxx’s Representative Denies Covid-19 Vaccine Rumors

On June 8, a spokesperson for Foxx shut down rumors that the Covid-19 vaccine made him “partially paralyzed and blind” and caused him to be hospitalized recently. In a statement to NBC News, a spokesperson for Foxx said that the claims were “completely inaccurate.”

The conspiracy idea started on May 30, when Hollywood gossip columnist AJ Benza made an unproven claim on the reality TV show Ask Dr Drew, which was hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky.

During the podcast episode, Benza said that Foxx was forced to get the Covid-19 vaccine while he was working on a movie, citing a person who was “in the room” with Foxx when he was hospitalized.

Benza said that after Foxx got the vaccine, he got a “blood clot in the brain,” which “caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind.”

Even though Foxx’s reps have denied Benza’s claims, this hasn’t stopped far-right commentators from spreading the anti-vaccination conspiracy theory on the internet.
