Even the Boss requires a break from time to time. Due to sickness, Bruce Springsteen has canceled two of his tour appearances with the E Street Band. The rock star’s management informed on social media that the scheduled events in Philadelphia on Wednesday and Friday will be postponed for later dates.
The statement said-
Bruce Springsteen’s concerts with the E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed due to his illness. We are working on rescheduling the dates, so please hold on to your tickets as they will still be valid for the rescheduled shows.

Springsteen, 73, is now on his first international tour since The River Tour in 2016. He began his US tour in February, and he and the E Street Band just returned from a summer leg of their European tour, which included dates in the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, and Germany.

The second leg of the North American tour kicked off earlier this month in Chicago. Future dates include appearances in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and other Canadian towns.
Springsteen fell on stage during a concert in Amsterdam in May after tripping over some steps. He swiftly recovered, though, and resumed the show, as well as the rest of his European tour dates.
Despite the fact that Springsteen has not been on tour in several years, he has been keeping busy. Springsteen on Broadway, a blend of musical performance and biographical monologue, premiered in 2017 and earned him a special Tony Award. He brought the show back for a brief run in 2021 as part of Broadway’s reopening following the closure of COVID-19.
Springsteen has also recorded three albums in the intervening years, including his 2019 solo effort Western Stars and two E Street Band albums, Letter to You in 2020 and Only the Strong Survive in 2022.
