According to a video making the rounds on social media, Drew Barrymore and singer/actor Reneé Rapp quickly departed a stage in New York City on Monday when a man approached while shouting, “You know who I am.”
Before they sprinted off the stage, Barrymore, a talk show presenter and performer, discussed with Rapp, the star of “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” about her most recent record.
They may be seen performing on stage at the 92nd Street Y, a Manhattan cultural hub when Barrymore was abruptly cut off by someone shouting, “Drew Barrymore!” NBC News has not confirmed the video.
Barrymore exclaimed into the microphone, “Oh, my God! “appearing surprised. Yes! Hi!” The two nervously watched the man reach the platform as he yelled his name and added, “You know who I am.” He walked to the platform’s edge and said, “I need to see you at some point while you’re in New York, OK?”

As soon as Barrymore appeared shocked, Rapp rushed up from her seat, grabbed her, and hurriedly led her offstage. The individual was approached by two men who seemed to be security guards who were ostensibly escorting him away.
Barrymore and Rapp’s representatives did not immediately answer a request for comment. 92NY didn’t either. No incident was reported, according to the New York Police Department.
