Ahmir Khalib Thompson, better known by his stage name Questlove, is an American musician, record producer, DJ, writer for the music industry, actor, and filmmaker. He is most known for his work with the hip-hop group The Roots, who have been The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s house band since 2014, as their drummer and co-frontman (with Black Thought). They also performed as the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Elvis Costello, Common, D’Angelo, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Bilal, Jay-Z, Nikka Costa, and more recently Booker T. Jones, Al Green, Amy Winehouse, and John Legend are just a few of the musicians for whom he has produced music.
Additionally, he is a member of the Soultronics, the Grand Negaz, the Randy Watson Experience, the Soulquarians, and the Grand Wizzards production teams. He has received numerous honors, including a BAFTA Award, six Grammy Awards, and an Academy Award.

Transforming His Diet
A Drastic Shift: Questlove decided to overhaul his diet as a crucial step in his weight loss journey. He removed gluten, wheat, and most dairy products from his daily meals. His diet primarily consisted of plant-based options like seitan, soy, tofu, and plenty of greens. Juice cleansing, ginger, and beet juice became staples in his diet.
Going Vegan: As part of his commitment to a healthier lifestyle, Questlove eventually transitioned to a fully vegan diet. Animal products were completely eliminated from his meals. He also avoids white carbohydrates, fruit, and caloric drinks, allowing himself only two glasses of red wine each night. Variety in his meals is key, with no repetitive eating, but he does have a designated day for indulgence.
