Suzanne Somers, an esteemed actress who had been battling illness for years, passed away just one day before her 77th birthday. The entertainment industry is in grief over her passing.
Suzanne passed suddenly in her sleep at home on the morning of October 15th. Couri Hay, who served as her publicist for many years confirmed the news of her loss. She had her doting husband, Alan, her son Bruce, and other members of her immediate family surrounding her.

She had originally wanted her family to get together to celebrate her 77th birthday, but instead, they are preparing for a private family funeral with a memorial service to follow the following month.

Her dying moments were spent in a blissful sleep, next to her devoted husband. Three months after Alan Hamel first reported that Suzanne had breast cancer that had come back, the devastating news has now been released.
After overcoming “two hyperplasia” in her 20s and fighting skin cancer in her 30s, Somers had been battling cancer since she was in her 20s. Despite these hardships, she remained fiercely resilient and determined to succeed in every endeavor.

Somers Rose to Fame Thanks to “Three’s Company”
I have been living with cancer since my 20s,” Suzanne said in an exclusive interview with ET in July, expressing her unwavering perseverance. And I keep batting that tiny f***** back every time it shows up. I make an effort not to let this sneaky illness rule me.
She expressed gratitude to her family, especially her husband Alan and children, for their unflinching support during her protracted battle.
Suzanne Somers’ career was distinguished by her extraordinary talent and fortitude. She started acting in the 1970s and in 1977 landed her breakthrough role as Chrissy Snow on “Three’s Company.”
She left the program in 1981 due to a disagreement with the network, but she made a comeback on network television in 1991 with “Step by Step,” in which she co-starred with Patrick Duffy as Carol Foster Lambert.
Suzanne had a successful acting career in addition to serving as the Thighmaster’s spokesperson and writing a number of books on health and wellbeing. When she competed on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2015 with Tony Dovolani, her influence spread to the dance floor.
Beyond her achievements in the workplace, Suzanne had a loving and supportive family. She had a son, Bruce Somers Jr., from her previous marriage to Bruce Somers in 1965. She met her longtime boyfriend, Alan Hamel, after her divorce in 1968, and they were married in 1977.
Suzanne also adopted Stephen and Leslie Hamel, her husband’s children from a previous marriage, and she became a devoted grandmother to six grandchildren.
