Kevin Durant College Career
Durant, who had grown to 6 feet 9 inches (2.06 meters), averaged 25.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for the Texas Longhorns during the 2006–07 college season. Texas had a 25–10 overall record and a 12–4 conference record at the end of the season.
Despite Durant’s 30-point and 9-rebound performance, Texas, who was given a 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament, lost to USC in the second round after defeating New Mexico State in the first round.
Durant won the John R. Wooden Award, the Naismith College Player of the Year Award, and all eight other prestigious medals and trophies for his exceptional play, which earned him the title of consensus national player of the year.
