What Has Miley Said About Dolly Parton?
Over the years, Miley has said a lot about Dolly, but yesterday, to promote their joint rendition of “Wrecking Ball,” she shouted her praises.
“I’ve grown up covering my Aunt Dollys’ music & it’s an honor to hear her singing one of my songs,” Miley wrote in an Instagram caption. “I love you, Aunt Dolly! I’m so happy to add another collaboration under our bedazzled (studded leather) belt! We’re ROCKSTARS now! You can hear so much sweetness and love on this record. Excited to share it with everyone. Forever your Doll Baby, Miley.”

In 2013, Miley also said to Cosmopolitan that she had gained a lot of knowledge from her “Aunt Dolly” over the years. Miley remarked, “She’s taught me a lot about how you treat people,” Miley said. “She always says hi to the person on the bottom of the call sheet. I love that.”
There is no doubt that these two adore one another. They also obviously respect one another a great deal. Miley shared even more of her opinions regarding Dolly’s influence on country music and mentoring in a 2017 interview with NPR.
Does Dolly Parton Have Children?
Dolly considered Miley her honorary daughter because she never had children of her own. The two have shared the stage numerous times; in 2017, Miley and she sang a duet of Dolly’s classic Jolene.
Parton and Cyrus shared a toast to the new year during Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in 2023. Currently scheduled to return, Dolly Parton will co-host the 2023 ACM Awards with country music icon Garth Brooks.
