On March 4th, 1990, Draymond Jamal Green Sr. was born in Saginaw, Michigan. Draymond made the transition from recreational to competitive basketball throughout his high school years. 

He guided his high school to a 26-1 record in the Class A State Championship. He was determined to play for Michigan State by his senior year, and he succeeded in doing so. 

Over his four years as a collegiate basketball player, Green accomplished a lot for Michigan State. He is one of just three players in school history to record a 1,000-point and 1,000 rebound total.
