“Lots of questions,” Robinson wrote. “But the answer is: I had to fight hard to push past the hurt and past my ego because God kept bringing me back to how much I love @tamarbraxton – and yet, I still needed to heal to see the beauty of our love.”
Following the breakup, he acknowledged feeling “angry” and confessed to having “taken advantage of people who were ultimately trying to take advantage of me” while they were apart.

Tamar Braxton’s Career
On March 17, 1977, Tamar Estine Braxton was born in Severn, Maryland, to Michael and Evelyn Braxton. As the youngest of the six children of the Braxtons, Braxton started singing at a young age.
Eventually, the children of Michael Braxton, the pastor of their church, would join the choir. In 1989, she inked their first record contract with Arista Records alongside her sisters Toni, Traci, Towanda, and Trina.
First released in 1990, “Good Life” reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart at number 79. The band’s varying ages presented a marketing challenge at the time of the single’s release. The Braxtons were later released from Arista Records.
In 1991, Toni Braxton—apart from her four sisters—was selected and signed as the label’s first female solo artist at a showcase with L.A. Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who were in the process of founding LaFace Records.
Since LaFace had recently signed with TLC, the remaining members were informed at the time that the group was not searching for another girl group. The surviving Braxtons members took on backing vocal roles for Toni’s first tour, music videos, and promotional appearances following her exit from the group.
The music video for Toni Braxton’s third single, “Seven Whole Days,” from her self-titled first album, included her and her sisters Traci, Towanda, and Trina.
