Kali Uchis is going to be a mother. The 29-year-old singer announced the news in the music video for “Tu Corazón Es Mio.” She is expecting a child with her partner, also named Don Toliver, who is also 29 years old.
Uchis captioned a short clip on Instagram, “Look how much Daddy loves you little pooks, he loves you forever,” as Toliver kisses her tummy in the beginning. The music video also features Uchis and Toliver attending doctor’s appointments and dancing in a room with stained-glass windows.
“Starting our family don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you,” Uchis wrote in an Instagram caption.

Uchis’s happy revelation came only one day before the release of her second Spanish-language album, Orquideas. The whole music video may also be viewed on her YouTube page.

Toliver acknowledged his relationship with Uchis in a 2021 interview with W Magazine. “We’re not crazy public or nothing like that,” he told the publication at the time. “We just vibe.” The two had gone to Colombia together to meet Uchis’ family and to film music videos for a few tunes from Toliver’s album Life of a DON.
“I already had it in my mind to go out there and shoot a video with her incorporated into it, to make it a real-deal situation,” he said.
Uchis shared a carousel of photographs of the couple on Instagram in June, including photos of the two on vacation and cuddling together during a romantic dinner.
“My heart was born in the month of June !!! celebrating you & grateful for you every day,” she wrote in the caption.

The singer had previously celebrated her love’s birthday on Instagram, posting a couple of loved-up photographs. “Happy birthday baby!! May the blessings multiply every year & may you continue to be divinely guided through it all. I thank God for the day your love came into my life,” she wrote.
