The Bad Neighbors actors Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne collaborated on the comedy series Platonic for Apple TV+ last year, where they portrayed longtime friends Will and Sylvia. Will There Be a Platonic Season 2?
There most certainly will! Co-creators Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco announced in a statement in December 2023 that the show will be making a second appearance. “We’re so thrilled to have the opportunity to tell more stories with Seth, Rose and everyone at Apple TV+ and Sony. Season two spoiler alert: Will and Sylvia won’t get together this time either.”
“Since the first episodes of Platonic debuted on Apple TV+, global audiences have been charmed by the hilarious, wildly fun and relatable friendship that Rose and Seth have brought to life through their charismatic performances,” stated Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+.

When Might Platonic Season 2 Be Released?
Although the release date of Platonic season 2 is yet to be discovered, considering that it was only announced in December, we assume it will be some time in the future.
The earliest possible release date for the new season on Apple TV+ appears to be late 2024; an early 2025 release date appears more feasible. As soon as we learn anything new about the release of Platonic season 2, we’ll update this page.
Platonic Cast: Who Might Return in Season 2?
Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen are the only two celebrities that we know for sure will return for Platonic season 2, but there are a few more that we think might.
As Charlie, Sylvia’s spouse, Luke Macfarlane, is probably coming back, and near the conclusion of the season, Rachel Rosenbloom might make a cameo as Will’s fiancée. Tre Hale and Carla Gallo might return as Andy and Katie, their pals.
