The Saucony Endorphin Pro 4, a top-tier carbon plate running shoe, is about to be released, and it’s creating a lot of excitement among runners.
This highly anticipated upgrade, set to hit the US market on February 29, is now available for pre-order in the UK via Saucony’s official website.
Saucony has decided against launching an immediate follow-up to the Endorphin Pro 3 in 2023. Instead, they introduced the Saucony Endorphin Elite, a new carbon shoe that now sits above of the Endorphin Pro in Saucony’s catalog.
The Endorphin Elite, which I personally considered to be an excellent racing shoe for shorter distances and even named the best racing shoe among Saucony’s options, combines the new PWRRUN HG foam in its midsole.
This tweak provides a stiffer, more forceful ride than the Pro 3, which is softer and more forgiving.
Despite this, the Endorphin Pro 3 remained popular, particularly among marathon runners, because to its more comfortable and natural feel, making it a top choice for longer events.

What’s Exciting About the Saucony Endorphin Pro 4?
The new Endorphin Pro 4 is expected to bridge the gap between the high-performance Elite and the comfort-oriented Pro 3 models.
It has a new dual-density midsole that combines a top layer of the most recent PWRRUN HG foam with a bottom layer of the PWRRUN PB foam featured in the Pro 3, seeking to provide the best of both worlds.
Aside from the midsole innovation, the Pro 4 has improved upper and outsole designs, as well as a redesigned sock liner for increased comfort and performance.
Despite these improvements, the Pro 4 retains the same stack height and approximate weight as its predecessor, as well as the Speedroll rocker design that defines Saucony’s Endorphin brand, resulting in a familiar yet refined running experience.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 Price Details
The retail price for the Endorphin Pro 4 is set at $225 in the US and £230 in the UK, matching the US price point of the Pro 3 but marking a £20 increase for UK consumers.
Alongside the Pro 4, Saucony is also launching the Endorphin Speed 4, a training shoe priced at $170/£180.
This shoe succeeds the highly praised Endorphin Speed 3, which I regard as the best all-around shoe I’ve ever tested, offering both performance and versatility to runners of all levels.
