Who is Mr. T?
Mr. T, whose real name is Laurence Tureaud, was born on May 21, 1952. He’s a famous actor from the United States. People know him best for playing B. A. Baracus on the TV show “The A-Team” during the 1980s and as the boxer Clubber Lang in the movie “Rocky III” in 1982.
He stands out because of his unique hairstyle, which he got from Mandinka warriors in West Africa, and for wearing a lot of gold jewelry. Mr. T is also famous for acting tough and for his famous line “I pity the fool!” which he first said as Clubber Lang in “Rocky III.” This phrase became very popular and he even used it for a reality show titled “I Pity the Fool” in 2006.

Mr. T is a deeply religious Christian and has three kids with his wife, including two daughters, with one being a comedian, and a son. He also has another son from a different relationship.
In 1987, people in Lake Forest, Illinois, were upset with him for cutting down over a hundred oak trees at his place. The local paper called it “the Lake Forest Chain Saw Massacre.”
In 1995, Mr. T found out he had a rare type of skin cancer called cutaneous T-cell lymphoma or mycosis fungoides. After the cancer went into remission, he made a light-hearted comment about the irony of the situation, saying it was like the cancer was made just for him.
He even wrote a book about his battle with cancer, though it hasn’t been published yet, titled “Cancer Saved My Life (Cancer Ain’t For No Wimps).” He mentioned this book when he danced to “Amazing Grace” on Dancing with the Stars.
After helping with the Hurricane Katrina clean-up in 2005, he decided to stop wearing his famous gold jewelry. He felt that wearing gold would be wrong and disrespectful to those who lost everything in the hurricane, as it went against his Christian beliefs.
