Exciting news has come out for fans of the popular Trillion Game manga series! The official Instagram account for the live-action adaptation just confirmed that a film based on the manga is in development, with a release date of 2025.
Ren Meguro from Snow Man and Hayato Sano will reprise their roles as protagonist Haru Tennōji and Manabu “Gaku” Taira, respectively, in the film adaptation of the live-action series.
Director Yoshiaki Murao and writers Daisuke Habara are both returning to direct the project.

The live-action series premiered on the TBS channel and its affiliates on July 14 and has received considerable appreciation.
The cast includes Kouji Kikkawa, Mio Imada, Kanako Momota from Momoiro Clover Z, and Kenjiro Tsuda. In October, Netflix began broadcasting the series worldwide, giving it global recognition.
Trillion Game tells the story of Haru and Gaku, two pals on a journey to acquire a startling trillion dollars.
Haru’s personality and Gaku’s programming prowess form a powerful pair as they embark on their quest for financial independence, navigating a world full of humour, drama, and surprising twists.
Since its release in December 2020, the manga by Riichirou Inagaki and Ryōichi Ikegami has gained a committed readership, with over 1.5 million copies in circulation.
In January, it was honoured with the prestigious Shogakukan Award, cementing its place as a fan favourite.
