Charges Against Tech Mogul’s Case Sibling Discharged
The San Francisco District Attorney has temporarily stopped the legal case against Khazar Momeni, who is the sister of Nima Momeni, the person accused of killing Bob Lee, the creator of Cash App. They decided to pause the charges to look into the situation more.
Khazar Momeni, who is 38 years old, was arrested last month. She faced charges for driving under the influence (DUI), leaving the scene of an accident, not staying in her lane while driving, and not having proof of insurance after she crashed her car in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco.

However, the district attorney has decided to not move forward with these charges right now. “Although the charges against Ms. Momeni are being discharged, the investigation is continuing, and charges could be filed at a later date,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
The office is waiting for the toxicology report from the Medical Examiner before deciding on filing charges against Momeni. They emphasized that this is a standard procedure in these cases.
“Discharging cases involving a blood draw for toxicology due to a delay in receiving the toxicology report is very common and not unusual,” the DA office said.
Momeni, believed to be closely connected to the reason her brother is accused of killing Lee, was arrested on November 27. She was reportedly involved in a car accident, hitting two parked cars with her white Mercedes coupe, as told by the police and a witness to NBC Bay Area.
Two firefighters witnessed her using a whip-it cartridge for inhaling right before the crash, and police discovered two of these canisters in her vehicle at the scene. Momeni, who also goes by her husband’s last name, Elyassnia, was friends with Lee. She was with him on the night he was murdered in April.
Her brother has been arrested for the murder of Lee, accused of stabbing him due to Lee’s relationship with his sister. There are reports suggesting that Momeni and Lee might have had a romantic relationship. They are said to have attended exclusive parties in San Francisco that involved sex and drugs.
According to what the prosecutors say, Nima Momeni, her brother, confronted Lee to ask if he and his sister were involved in drug use or any other inappropriate activities.
