At the moment, 5G trials are underway all over the world.
And it is expected that by the end of this year or the beginning of next year, 5G will be officially rolled out to the general public.
However, before that, many smartphone manufacturers have started to release 5G capable phones.
And one such recently launched premium smartphone is Sony Xperia Pro 5G.
Even though it was already released in January 2021 in the USA

Sony Xperia Pro Review
I have divided this review into 3 major parts:
PERFORMANCE
Coupled with Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 5G (7 nm+) chipset and the Adreno 650 GPU system makes sure you do not face any performance-related issues while browsing or playing High.
Qualcomm even claims it to improve speeds and performance by 25% than its predecessor.
On paper, it does look like a powerful device.
But the reality is far from this.
I agree that the processor is faster than its predecessor, but the software provided with the smartphone isn’t optimized properly.
You do not want that.
You are spending thousands of dollars, and you’re still facing lag all over your smartphone.
Now, I hope the only way to fix this is by out software.
CAMERA
Apart from the 5G, the camera is the highlighting part of this Smartphone.
In fact, it’s made keeping the video content creators in mind.
So how does this fare against the other Apple iPhone in the premium smartphone segments?
Sony Xperia Pro 5G comes with 3 lenses in the rear camera.
The primary sensor is 12mp with a focal length of 24mm and an F/1.7 aperture.
The second one is a telephoto lens with a 70mm focal length and F/2.4 aperture.
And the third lens is a 12 mp ultra-wide shooter with a 16 mm focal length and F/2.2 aperture.
Most of the premium segment smartphone does an excellent job outside lightening, and so does Sony Xperia Pro 5G.
The main thing is how they performed in the low light.
Out of the three rear lenses, the primary lens produced the most natural and ballast captures in indoor lighting conditions.
Whereas the photos captured using the other two lenses came out on a bit darker side.
But still,
I don’t think anyone is beating Sony Xperia Pro in the camera department anytime soon.
5G
When PCmag ran multiple speed tests and connectivity tests on the Xperia Pro 5G, their finding was disappointed.
Just like the LG V60 thin Q5GUW, there were frequent drops in the mm-wave signal.
In easy language,
Sony Xperia Pro 5G does over fast 5G speed but at unstable internet speed.
Final Thoughts
At the moment, I would not recommend you to get any 5G device.
Especially Sony Xperia Pro 5G.
First, it’s quite expensive.
Second, 5G is not that stable.
And as for the bugs, there’s no ending to that.
I hope Sony will fix this with their up-and-coming software updates.
That is all for now.
