Actor Drake Bell Found Safe After Being Reported Missing
The actor Jared “Drake” Bell, best known as the star of the Nickelodeon television series “Drake & Josh,” was discovered safe on Thursday, hours after Florida authorities declared him to be “missing and endangered.” Carrie McCallister, a spokeswoman for the Daytona Beach Police Department, stated in an email that Bell was in contact with police officers and was not in danger.
McCallister stated,
“At this time we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe. McCallister directed inquiries for more information to the Orlando-based Orange County Sheriff’s Office, which did not return an email.”
Bell was listed as “missing and endangered” by the police department in a statement released hours earlier, and they pleaded with the public for assistance in finding him.

Bell was last seen Wednesday night near a Daytona Beach high school before being discovered at noon on Thursday. The 36-year-old actor’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Associated Press. Bell started performing when she was young and gained notoriety with Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” and later “Drake & Josh.”
Bell and Josh Peck’s Nickelodeon series ran from 2004 to 2007 and was accompanied by two films. Since that time, Bell has primarily worked as a voice actor in addition to small parts in obscure TV shows and films. He started a career in music as well.
Bell was accused of child endangerment in 2021 in relation to a girl who was 15 years old in 2017 when she attended one of his concerts in Cleveland and had met him online years earlier. He admitted guilt to a misdemeanor charge of disseminating material harmful to minors and a felony charge of attempted child endangerment and was given a two-year probationary period as punishment. He was permitted to complete his 200 hours of community service and probation in California.
