What We Do in the Shadows on FX will return to our screens in a matter of months. The vampire mockumentary will return on Thursday, July 13, according to a new announcement from the network. The majority of the upcoming season’s plot details are currently under wraps. But Season 4’s cliffhanger finale left viewers with a lot to think about.
After being split up in the Season 3 finale, the vampires and Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) reunited on Staten Island in Season 4. When they arrived back at the mansion, they discovered it to be in utter disorder. Unfortunately, they lacked the money to fix it, largely because they couldn’t access their bank account.
Instead, they focused on their own endeavors. After Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) passed away and then was reborn, Laszlo (Matt Berry) adopted a role like that of a father to nurture the child. Natasia Demetriou’s character Nadja started her own nightclub, although there were some bumps in the road.
Nandor (Kayvan Novak) and Guillermo pursued their romantic relationships in the meanwhile. And no, it wasn’t between the two of them. In its place, Nandor wed, and Guillermo had a covert lover.

How Did What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 Conclude?
Except for the drama between Nandor and Guillermo, most of the big plotlines were pretty much wrapped up by the end of the season. First, Colin finally grew up again and is back to being the energy-sucking monster that people know and maybe even love. This also meant that the group could finally get money to fix up the run-down house.
Nadja kind on purpose and kind of accid*nt burned down her nightclub so she could get insurance money. But she didn’t have insurance, so she burned a stack of cash she had hidden in the club.
Guillermo finally told everyone about his boyfriend, Freddie, after keeping quiet about him for a while. But Nandor decided to make his wife Marwa look exactly like Freddie. This caused a huge split between him and Guillermo.
But Guillermo’s quest to become a vampire was the most important thing left over from Season 4. He finally took a big step in the right direction toward something he’s wanted since day one.
Guillermo took a bag of cash to a vampire friend and asked him to turn him into a vampire. Of course, we won’t know what comes next until Season 5. Considering that Guillermo has Van Helsing’s vampire-kill*ng blo0d, he may or may not have a lot of trouble with himself.
Jemaine Clement created, wrote, and was in charge of making What We Do in the Shadows. Together with Taika Waititi, he writes and runs the show. Kristen Schaal also plays a role in the show, along with those already named. The show will come back for a sixth season, which is set to start in 2024.
