A night of music and joy at Red Rocks turned into chaos when a hailstorm hit. Several people were hurt. The popular outdoor venue, which is known for its beautiful natural amphitheater, turned into a dangerous place when hail started falling on the crowd. People at the concert were caught off guard by the sudden attack, which hurt them in different ways. People who needed medical help got it quickly from the emergency services.
Even though the number of people hurts and the seriousness of their injuries are still being figured out, this unfortunate event shows how unpredictable outdoor events can be. Officials and people in charge of events are working together to make sure that future gatherings at Red Rocks are safe.
Several Injured In Hail At Red Rocks Concert
On Wednesday night, a hailstorm showered down on concertgoers at Red Rocks. Just before 9:30 p.m., large hail stones pelted concertgoers, hospitalizing seven people. Prior to Louis Tomlinson taking the stage, the event had to be called off.

“It started like an instant. They gave us a warning and then it just started immediately,” Olivia Santangelo told CBS Colorado.
Seven people were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to West Metro Fire, who arrived at the site. Up to 90 individuals received medical attention at Red Rocks for injuries ranging from fractures to cuts.
While the environment was hectic, Santangelo claims that everyone came together to support one another, saying, “It was very supportive, it was such a supportive environment.”

Louis Tomlinson, a singer/songwriter, was scheduled to play on Wednesday, but the weather prevented the main event from happening. He described himself as “devastated” in a tweet afterward.

Prior to the brunt of the bad rain, Red Rocks tweeted that they were experiencing a weather delay and advised attendees to “seek shelter until further notice.”

The location also sent healing thoughts to those hurt on Thursday. On Wednesday night, severe weather also affected other areas of the Denver metropolitan region. The Colorado Rapids game in Commerce City was postponed.
