Braden Schneider Career
With 35 assists and 42 points, Schneider ended the Brandon Wheat Kings 2019–20 season. The New York Rangers selected Schneider with the 19th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Due to the Western Hockey League (WHL) being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Schneider started playing with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2021 as an amateur tryout so that he might rejoin the Wheat Kings.
Before being returned to junior on February 13, 2021, he made his professional debut with the Wolf Pack, making a total of two appearances and contributing one assist. The Rangers signed Schneider to a three-year, entry-level contract on March 4.
On January 13, 2022, Schneider faced the San Jose Sharks in his NHL debut. He became the seventh Rangers defenseman to score a goal in his NHL debut when he scored his first NHL goal in the same game.
