We’re here to say goodbye to Felicia Taylor, who was a special part of our lives and left us too soon. Felicia was an amazing person who was known for her constant kindness, contagious laughter, and deep love for her family and friends.
Her life was full of kindness and hard work, which touched the hearts of everyone who had the chance to know her. When we think about her life, we remember how much she meant to us and how much love and warmth she left behind.
Felicia Taylor Obituary
Longtime Palm Beach resident Felicia Rodrica Sturt Taylor passed away on Friday at her home. Age-wise, she was 59. She was the daughter of actor Rod Taylor, who appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds,” and fashion model Mary Hilem (later Schott), and was born on August 28, 1964, in Los Angeles.

She had John Wayne and John Ford as godfathers, making her a true product of Hollywood. She received a bachelor’s in English from Northwestern University after graduating from Milton Academy.
Following in her family’s footsteps, Ms. Taylor entered the film industry and produced the acclaimed “Far From Home,” a documentary examining the impact of climate change on the people of Senegal, particularly its children.

Prior to this, Ms. Taylor worked as a business correspondent for CNN and CNBC cable networks and as a weekend anchor for WNBC in New York. Ms. Taylor has two marriages. Her first union, with Charles Schuster, was annulled. She wed Peter Gottsegen in November 2021; he survives her.
She was a big supporter of South Florida PBS and a member of the Beach Club and Screen Actors Guild. She is survived by a number of cousins in Virginia and the Carolinas in addition to her husband. In Palm Beach, a memorial service is scheduled for January. Donations to South Florida PBS or the Town of Palm Beach United Way may be offered in place of floral tributes.
