In 2020, he tied the knot with Jovi Nicole Engbino, and the following year, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter they called Hiro. Teo’s wife is a personal fitness teacher and beauty consultant.

They are expecting their second kid, a son, right now. Google Trends showed that there was a sharp increase in people wondering if Manti’s wife was real after the documentary came out. Manti seems to have settled down with his millions of dollars in earnings and is living the good life.

Manti Te’o’s College Football and NFL Career

In 2012, Manti Te’o guided his Notre Dame Fighting Irish team to the BCS National Championship Game. Among his many accolades as a defensive player in college football history, he was a Heisman finalist and the recipient of the Butkus Award. His image was damaged by a catfishing event, but he was still headed for a great pro career.

Te’o told the media in 2012 that his fiancΓ©e and his grandmother passed away on September 11, the same day. He continued by committing his entire season to his “dead girlfriend,” Stanford student Lennay Kekua, who had ostensibly passed away in an automobile accident.

Te’o had been in a long-distance relationship with her that was only conducted online. A few months later, Lenny Kekua was revealed to be a buddy posing as her; she was not real, according to news source Deadspin. Following that, a statement from Notre Dame claimed that Te’o was the victim of a sophisticated prank.

In the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Te’o was selected by the San Diego-based Chargers. Sadly, he had a career marred by injuries and only made 48 starts in the league. He played with the Bears in 2020 and the Saints from 2017 to 2019.

At the moment, he is not affiliated with any team. Despite having tremendous promise, he was eventually unable to perform to the expectations placed on him as a collegiate athlete. In the Netflix documentary, Te’o could be seen crying as he shared his experience with the world ten years later and articulated his feelings.
