Redmond O’Neal’s Trust Fund
Farrah bequeathed $4.5 million to her son Redmond in trust, per the terms of her will. There were stringent guidelines and limitations attached to the lifelong faith. Farrah appointed her friend Richard Francis, a producer, as the trust’s trustee.
Redmond’s only claim is the interest that the trust earns. Francis has the option to disburse the interest money either monthly or on a quarterly basis. Redmond’s access to health care is contingent upon Richard Francis’s decision.
Redmond isn’t even allowed to use the primary as collateral for a bail bond in cases involving the police (he’s had other legal troubles throughout the years). Ryan is unable to access the funds. Additionally, Farrah gave her father and her nephew a sum of $500,000.
Andy Warhol Painting
Farrah will award her art collection to the University of Texas in Austin, her alma mater, along with her wealth. Notably, the group had one Andy Warhol Farrah portrait. Keyword, “ONE.”
Farrah’s college boyfriend, who was the school’s star quarterback in the 1960s and reportedly hated O’Neal, informed the school a few months after her death that Andy had made two portraits, one of which mysteriously disappeared from her LA condo.
The university assumed Ryan O’Neal took the image for himself after an investigation. After appearing in the backdrop of an episode of “Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals.” in 2011, that suspicion was validated. The portrait hung in Ryan’s Malibu beach house master bedroom in the episode.
The institution filed a lawsuit after seeing the painting in the show. Ryan stated in court that Andy painted two portraits of Farrah during her 1980 session with the artist, but she did not own the second one at her death. He did.
Ryan introduced Farrah to Warhol, a friend, and arranged the photo session on the condition that Warhol create two pieces, one for him and one for her. In December 2013, an LA jury let Ryan keep the painting. The picture was estimated to be worth $18 million. It was valued at $24 million in 2018. It may be worth $40+ million now.

Ryan O Neal’s Early Life
On April 20, 1941, O’Neal was born in Los Angeles. He was the eldest child of novelist and screenwriter Charles O’Neal and actress Patricia Ruth Olga (née O’Callaghan; 1907–2003).
His mother was of Ashkenazi Jewish maternal and paternal lineage and Irish paternal ancestry. His father was of Irish and English descent. Kevin, his brother, was a screenwriter and actor.
O’Neal prepared to become a Golden Gloves fighter at University High School in Los Angeles, where he also attended. O’Neal’s family relocated to Munich in the late 1950s so that his father could work as a writer on the television show Citizen Soldier. O’Neal attended Munich American High School.
Ryan O Neal’s Personal Life
Star Joanna Moore was O’Neal’s first wife in 1963. Two children preceded their 1966 divorce. Moore lost custody of their children to O’Neal due to her drunkenness and drug use.
He has a son with actress and Peyton Place co-star Leigh Taylor-Young in his second marriage. After a divorce in 1973, they remained friends. “I could speak to parts of Ryan like temper and volatility and reactivity, but I deeply know his goodness,” said Taylor-Young.
