Alum Gary Graham Cause of Death
Veteran actor Gary Graham passed away on Monday in his Spokane Valley, Washington, home. He was best known for his roles as detective Matthew Sikes in the “Alien Nation” films and Ambassador Soval on the television series “Star Trek: Enterprise.” He was seventy-three. His wife, Becky Graham, confirmed his death and stated that heart arrest was the cause.

The actor’s ex-wife, Susan Lavelle, shared the news on Facebook. Her memorial was written early on Tuesday morning. “It is with deep, profound sadness to say that Gary Graham, my ex-husband, amazing actor, and father of our beautiful only child together, Haylee Graham, has passed away today,” she wrote.
Graham’s premature death “completely devastated” Lavelle, her daughter, and Becky, his almost 25-year wife, who “was by his side” when he passed away. Later, Becky revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that Graham passed away in a Spokane, Washington, hospital from cardiac arrest.

According to Lavelle, she first saw Graham when she was “just 20 years old.” “He was one half of the star duo on the TV series Alien Nation,” Fox (1989–1990) said at the time. In the show, he costarred alongside Eric Pierpoint as futuristic police officers who battled crime.
Regarding Graham’s portrayal of Tom Cruise’s brother in the 1983 film, Lavelle remarked, “He had already been in films like All the Right Moves with Tom Cruise,” but added that Graham’s career had “many more credits.”
He was “funny,” she added, and had a “sarcastic sense of humor,” but he was also compassionate, a devoted Christian, and incredibly proud of his daughter Haylee. “Please pray for our daughter as she goes through this thing called grieving,” Lavelle stated, adding that this was unexpected. Gar, soar into the skies!”
A multi-year stint as Vulcan Ambassador Soval on Star Trek: Enterprise from 2001 to 2005, as well as appearances in well-known series like Starsky & Hutch and The Dukes of Hazzard, are among Graham’s other career highlights.
