Robert Parker, a mud rider from North Carolina, died on March 15 in a horrific accident. Riding a four-wheeler, the enthusiast suffered injuries when an all-terrain vehicle rolled over him.

Following his shocking death, the riding community was devastated, and online users took to social media to honor him and offer their condolences to his family.

Team 904—a riding organization—paid tribute to Robert in a Facebook post, calling him “family.”

At around 4:44 p.m. on Wednesday, the Harnett County Communications Center received an emergency 911 call. While it was unclear if Robert Parker was still alive, the fire and emergency services were called to an ATV crash. Attempts to save the mud rider were made by those present who started CPR.

When the car rolled over, Robert Parker suffered severe injuries. He was taken to a hospital by a medical helicopter that had flown to the area. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it to the plane that would have transported him to the trauma center.

When Robert Parker died, he was only 38 years old. Casey, his wife, released a statement lamenting her husband’s passing. Says she:

“Today I lost my best friend and the best dad to my kids! Please pray for me, our kids, our family, and our friends as we face this impossible task of saying goodbye.”

Carleigh, Nathan, and Sawyer Parker, who are 18, 13, and 10 years old, respectively, are the three children who survived Robert Parker.

Who was Robert Parker?

Parker, along with his spouse Casey Parker and their three kids, resided in Benson, North Carolina, and was a well-known mud racer. His Facebook page, @robert.parker.710, states that he attended South Johnson High School before attending NC State University. He hails from the village of Four Oaks.

He has a 13-year-old son named Nathan, an 18-year-old daughter named Carleigh, and a 10-year-old daughter named Sawyer with Casey. The couple had spent 17 years together.

Blake Pounders, Parker’s brother-in-law, discussed the father of three’s ardent love for ATV activities and his firm Christian beliefs with The Daily Record.

The publication said: “Through his connections with building and racing ATVs, Parker was a big team builder. He was able to mentor and witness many young people in the sports world as he helped organize Team Momentum Racing.” Parker assisted in running the mud racing team Team Momentum Racing.
