Police Have Located the Parents of the Alleged Michigan High School Shooter After Hours of Searching in Detroit, According to Multiple Reports

Updates Regarding the Michigan High School Incident

Today, on December 4, 2021, the police have successfully arrested the parents of the fifteen-year-old child, who is the prime suspect of the shooting in Michigan’s High School named “Oxford High School.”

The shooting incident took place three days back, i.e., on December 1, 2021, and after that, the parents of the suspect did not allow the police to interrogate their child by hiring a lawyer. After a search of long hours, the suspect’s parents were found in a house basement of city Detroit.

How Did the Police Find the Michigan High School Shooter’s Parents?

Yesterday, after the Michigan High School shooting, suspect Ethan Crumbley’s parents got to know about the murder charges they ran away to hide and did not appear in Friday’s court hearing.

The United States authorities offered a reward of ten thousand dollars in return for the information that could be helpful in the assassination of the culprit’s parents. His parents, James Crumbley and Jennifer Crumbley were arrested later when the police got to know about a black KIA Seltos car from a local person.

In exchange for some tip, the local told them that the car was going towards Detroit late Friday night, which is forty miles away from Michigan High School.

On Friday, James and Jennifer Crumbley also withdrew four thousand dollars from an ATM near Rochester Hills, which is fifteen miles away from the Michigan High School. Initially, the police were taking help by tracking the location through cellular signals but later failed to do so as James and Jennifer turned off their cellphones.

Afterward, by following the information provided by the locals, James and Jennifer were found in a warehouse basement of Detroit. They did not have any arms and ammunition and were arrested easily without any mishap.

Police also confirmed that someone helped the couple in hiding in that warehouse, and that person would also be charged for doing so.

Parents Reactions and Police Statements

While the couple was missing, their lawyers released statements that they were not running away from law and constitution; rather, they were hiding for the sake of their safety and lives.

Additionally, after the couple was taken under custody, they denied accepting the charges which were filed against them, including the indictment of negligence against the child’s intentions.

Prosecutor McDonald stated that the suspect’s mother bought him the gun four days before the crime and shared about it on social media, saying that it was the Christmas gift for Ethan.

Moreover, she took Ethan to the firing range one week before this incident to practice how to use the gun. According to Prosecutor McDonald, it is severe negligence of parents, and they should be charged for it by all means as it is a matter of the death of four kids and seven injured ones.

The Detail of the Events That Occurred Before the Incident

The prosecutor further mentions that one of the teachers caught Ethan exploring the weapons and arms, and ammunition one day before the incident during the class.

The teacher immediately reported this matter to the school administration, and the administration tried contacting Ethan’s parents through email and voicemails, but none of them responded.

Later that day, after the incident, Jennifer found out, texting his son about the incident and saying that she is not mad at him for what he had done whilst he should know how to not get caught.

Not only this, but the teacher also found a note on Ethan’s desk on the day of the attack, on which he sketched the gun and people getting fired in their heads and blood strains all around.

Also, a note was written saying that thoughts like these cannot stop coming into Ethan’s mind and that he needs help, but in the next line, he wrote that he is dead, and everyone is dead with a laughing face emoji.

Ethan’s parents were called immediately to the school, and they had a session with a counselor who showed them Ethan’s drawing and asked them to take Ethan for mental therapy sessions within forty-eight hours.

Despite getting that warning, Ethan’s parents did not bother to check his bag or question him about the weapon in the drawing whilst he was sent back to class, and his parents left.

Furthermore, just before the incident, Ethan’s mother sent him a text saying that do not do it, Ethan, and after the incident news came out, his father called the police, reported about their missing gun from the unlocked drawer and indicated that the shooter could be his son.

What sort of hypocrisy is this? On one hand, the suspect’s parents were encouraging and supporting him to commit this crime, and on the other hand, they informed the police by themselves.

Not only the kid but the parents also needed to be interrogated strictly. The police should not take this matter lightly, as many people’s hopes are associated with the final verdict and decision regarding this case, especially if the victim’s parents, as it is their basic right to get justice.
