An American of Egyptian descent, Ramy Youssef is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and director best known for his role as Ramy Hassan on the Hulu comedy series Ramy (2019-present), for which he received nominations for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy and a Peabody Award in 2020.
Additionally, he was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. He was once again considered for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series in 2021.

In Season 3 of Ramy’s sitcom, Bella will play his “weirdo girlfriend.” They chatted about their friendship and Bella’s forthcoming involvement on the show throughout the interview. GQ claims that Ramy had sent Bella an unsolicited email asking whether she would be interested in the role.

What happened to Bella was “one of the most wonderful moments of [her] adult life,” she says. Ramy’s wife made a surprise appearance in the images taken by GQ at their flat to complement the interview. The report does not identify Ramy’s new bride by name, but it implies that the couple recently tied the knot. That’s wonderful news, congrats to the happy couple!
