Sources say that police have arrested the ex-husband of a Hong Kong model whose brutal murder was thought to have been planned by her ex-father-in-law, a former officer who didn’t like how she managed a luxury flat.
A source said that Abby Choi’s Tin-ex-husband fungs were caught on Saturday around 1 p.m. at the Tung Chung waterfront. He added: “It is possible he was waiting for a speedboat to flee the city illegally,” Police discovered Choi’s body parts on Friday in a ground-floor apartment of a three-story house in Tai Po’s Lung Mei Tsuen.
Choi went missing on Tuesday, and the police have described the murder as “premeditated” and “well-planned.” The head, body, and hands of the 28-year-old influencer are still missing. Her ex-sister-in-law, ex-brother-in-law, and ex-in-laws have all been arrested.
The source also told the Post that the murder was likely done because Choi, her 28-year-old jobless ex-husband, and his family were fighting about a property in Ho Man Tin’s Kadoorie Hill neighborhood that was worth tens of millions of dollars.

The source said that Choi’s ex-father-in-law, who used to be a police officer and rented the Tai Po house this month, was thought to be the person who planned the murder. Divers from the elite Special Duties Unit, also known as the Flying Tigers, were sent to a water catchment area at Tseung Kwan O cemetery on Saturday afternoon to look for missing body parts.
About 100 police officers, including members of the Flying Tigers and the Police Tactical Unit, searched the cemetery, which is on the slopes between Yau Tong and Tseung Kwan O. At the cemetery, police also used search dogs to see if they could find any signs of Choi. The police said that two bags of Choi’s things were used so that the dogs could smell the dead socialite.
A team from the police force was going to search the slopes of the cemetery by abseiling, and officers from the Police Tactical Unit had already started checking the graves in order.
The first thing the police looked into was Choi’s plan to sell the Kadoorie Hill property she had bought using her ex-father-in-name. law’s She had promised to move her ex-husband and his family somewhere else, but her father-in-law was very against the idea and fought with her several times about it, the source said.
The investigation also found that Choi had not registered her marriage to her current husband, who is the son of the founder of the popular chain restaurant TamJai Yunnan Mixian. This means that her two children with her ex-husband would inherit her assets.
Chan Tin-sung, an indigenous resident who represents Lung Mei Tsuen, told the Post that he had no contact with the tenant or owner of the flat where the body parts were found. He did say, however, that the home had three tenants in the past year.

“The apartment was fixed up last year. “At that time, I think it had a new owner,” Chan said. Chan, who lives across the street from the flat, said that the murder had upset some villagers.
“Some have suggested we hold a Taoist ceremony to calm the spirit of the dead, but another representative said we should respect the family of the dead and talk to them first,” said Chan, who is in his 70s. He added that village representatives had not yet talked to Choi’s family.
On Friday, police found a meat grinder, an electric saw, and two pots of soup with human tissue in them at Choi’s Tai Po flat. They also found two kinds of choppers, a hammer, face shields, black raincoats, and a purple handbag. The suspects had used a sail to cover the walls of the apartment.
A person in the know told police that they thought Choi’s ex-brother-in-law, who was her driver, drove to her home in Kadoorie Hill to meet her before she went missing. They were on their way to get her daughter, whom she had with her ex-husband.
When the woman didn’t pick up the child, she was reported missing. Choi and her first husband also had a son.
