The release date, trailer, voice cast, and plot elements for Nintendo’s upcoming Super Mario Bros. film are all listed here. Wahoo!
From the debut of the original Super Mario Bros. game in 1985, Nintendo has reaped enormous financial benefits from the Mario franchise. Now, nearly 40 years later, the brand has spawned a wide variety of offshoots, all of which include the now-iconic cast of Mario characters.
A new film based on the Mario video game property was announced by Nintendo game producer Shigeru Miyamoto in September 2021. This new film will be an animated one, in contrast to the now-infamous live-action Super Mario Bros. movie from 1993. Here, therefore, is what we can reveal about the film in question.

There are no current official narrative specifics, but we can assume it will follow everyone’s favorite plumber as Mario and his brother Luigi navigate an “underground labyrinth with his brother, Luigi, trying to save a captured princess,” as IMDB puts it.
Mushroom Kingdom, a staple of the Mario series despite its ever-changing look, is mentioned in the promotional materials. The Kingdom is ruled by Princess Peach, and it includes such famous locations as Toad Village, Bowser’s Castle, and Peach’s Castle. In addition, we know that there will be a thrilling kart race on Rainbow Road at some point in the film.
