Since he retired from the NBA in 2007, Jalen Rose has been working for ESPN. The network allegedly let Rose go after an altercation with fellow analyst Malika Andrews, according to a new internet rumor.
Twitter user ButtCrack Sports claims to have seen footage of Rose engaging in socially improper behavior and claims that this is why ESPN fired Rose. Andrews is heard urging Rose to release his hold on the woman.
Yet the report is fabricated, and the sound on the video was doctored. ButtCrack Sports is a well-known satire and parody account that frequently fabricates news stories. The LA Lakers reportedly punished LeBron James for a speeding violation.

Career on ESPN for Jalen Rose
Jalen Rose played for the NBA’s Denver Nuggets for the first 12 of his 13 total seasons. Rose also had time with the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks, and Phoenix Suns during his professional career. In 2000, he led the Pacers to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history and was named the league’s Most Improved Player.
After retiring in 2007, Rose began working as an analyst for ESPN, where he has since made appearances on shows like “First Take,” “Get Up,” “NBA Countdown,” “SportsCenter,” and “ESPN Radio.” He also co-hosted “Jalen & Jacoby” alongside ESPN’s Jared Leto until late last year, when Leto followed David Jacoby to The Ringer.

Career on ESPN for Malika Andrews
When it comes to ESPN’s roster of correspondents, Malika Andrews is among the youngest. Andrews began working for the network in 2018 as an online writer. Three years ago, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she made her announcing debut during the NBA playoffs.
The Denver Post, the New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune were among the places she worked before joining ESPN. She became more well-known after ABC hired her to cover the 2021 NBA Finals instead of Rachel Nichols.
