After The COVID-19 Delay, Masamune-kun’s Revenge R Season Has A New Release Date Of July 3

On Friday, the official website for Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv’s Masamune-kun’s Revenge (Masamune-kun no Revenge) television anime released a new television commercial and key image for Masamune-kun’s Revenge R (Masamune-kun no Revenge R), the show’s second season. The commercial informs that the season’s launch date has been moved to July 3.

The season’s launch had been pushed back to July owing to the spread of COVID-19. The anime was initially scheduled to launch in April, but the production committee changed its mind.

Miku It as Muriel Besson and Yasuyuki Kase as Frank Besson are among the new cast members for the anime’s second season. The opening theme song, “Please, please!” is performed by Ayaka Ohashi.

Crunchyroll confirmed that the anime would be streamed worldwide, including the Indian subcontinent, but not the rest of Asia. In January 2017, the television anime adaption debuted. Crunchyroll broadcast the series live as it aired in Japan, while Funimation broadcast an English dub.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in North America, and this is how the tale is described:

Makabe Masamune, an overweight child, was constantly tormented and bullied by one particular girl, Adagaki Aki. Makabe begins a complex regimen of self-improvement and personal transformation, determined to wreak his retribution on her one day.

Here are some  recent anime updates below:

Masamune reappears as a new man years later. Masamune-kun, who is handsome, popular, has excellent grades and is good at sports, transfers to Aki’s school and is unrecognizable to her. Masamune-kun is now ready to confront and disgrace the girl who bullied him so many years ago. But will vengeance be as sweet as he imagined?

The manga began in 2012 in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Rex magazine and ended in June 2018. Ichijinsha included an original anime disc (OAD) with the manga’s 10th volume that provides a “after story” for the series. The shipment was made in July 2018.

In August 2020, the manga received a bonus chapter about Masamune and Aki set after the final chapter of the original manga.

Masamune-kun no Revenge after School (Masamune-kun’s Revenge after School) was published in Monthly Comic Rex in September 2018 and terminated in January 2019. In April 2019, Ichijinsha released the stories as “volume 11” of the manga, and Seven Seas Entertainment published the volume in June 2020.
