Who is Genya Shinazugawa in Demon Slayer?

Genya Shinazugawa is a major character in the anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is the younger brother of the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.

When Genya first shows up in the series, he is a small young man with big eyes that look inward. He always looks angry because the space where his eyebrows should be is always furrowed.

He has buzz-cut hair with a small clump of messy black hair on the top of his head. On his right cheekbone, from his ear to his nose, there is a big, jagged scar. He wears a regular long-sleeved black shirt under a purple Yukata with no sleeves.

At first, Genya is shown to be a rude person with a bad temper who likes to work alone, won’t let anyone help her, and doesn’t have any basic manners. During the Final Selection, he can be seen yelling at Kanata Ubuyashiki and roughing her up. He talks and acts like his bigger brother Sanemi, who is also rude and has a bad temper.
