The infamous performer, who served almost five years in prison for a series of indecent assaults committed between 1968 and 1986, has died at 93, and the circumstances of his de@th have been established.

His de@th certificate lists “metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the neck” (a medical term for neck cancer) and “frailty of old age” as the causes of de@th. The convicted s*x criminal has also been “laid to rest,” as established. His family published the following statement through his attorney: “Rolf Harris recently passed away quietly surrounded by family and friends and has since been laid to rest.
They politely want privacy. We have nothing additional to add. After Harris’s release from prison in 2017, he effectively disappeared from public life. Harris was “very sick,” according to writer William Merritt, who saw him in 2022.
Merritt said to MailOnline, “Rolf has been unwell. I was able to communicate with him after we finally met. He seemed to be in his right mind, but he felt ill. Merritt stated that Harris had difficulty communicating due to his cancer treatment. He says, “[He] gurgles when he talks because he’s fighting neck cancer. It’s hard to get through to him.
“As soon as one of two people walk into the room, he turns into a big kid again. He’s an artistic type, and he’ll try to perform on cue, even when he’s unwell.”
Before his crimes were revealed, Harris was a regular on the family entertainment circuit in both the United Kingdom and Australia.
After his 2014 trial, he was imprisoned and had his MBE and BAFTA Fellowship revoked.
