Many fans think that season 3 may be the final one for Ted Lasso, leaving the character’s future in doubt. It’s more probable that Jason Sudeikis’ coach will soon go AFC Richmond with just one episode left, and the penultimate episode merely provides more evidence in the form of a major cliffhanger.
With fans falling in love with its contagious optimist protagonist and underdog association football club you can’t help but root for, the football comedy has become a tremendous hit for Apple TV+.
So, with the season 3 finale quickly coming, will there be a fourth season, or will the show cease after season 3? Continue reading for all the information you require regarding Ted Lasso season 4.
Will There Be a Season 4 of Ted Lasso?
Until April 2023, we don’t know. Since the actors and creators have remained mum regarding Ted Lasso’s future, speculation is rampant that it would end with its third season.
However, Coach Beard actor and co-creator Brendan Hunt have made it plain that a new arc beyond that is feasible. It has been made known that season 3 will mark the conclusion of a three-season arc that the show’s producers had intended from the beginning.
Yes, he replied to Consequence. “Another arc is possible after this, for sure. We have always seen it as some kind of three-beat thing. Originally those three beats were more going to be modeled on what The Office did, you know, six eps, a special, boom, we’re done. We’ve expanded those beats, but it does not mean the whole kit and caboodle is getting chucked.”

There have been several hints during Season 3 that Ted’s position at AFC Richmond may be in jeopardy and that the writers may be plotting to conclude the show in style. This could, however, indicate that a spin-off will be produced after the current series that would center on the AFC Richmond’s supporting cast or newcomers rather than Ted.
That would also make sense considering how outspoken Jason Sudeikis, co-creator of Ted, has been about this season concluding the narrative they had intended to convey from the beginning.
“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell,” he previously stated to Deadline. “It’s flattering that people will want more and be curious about things beyond what they already know, which is season 3.”
“Maybe by May 31st, once all 12 episodes of the season, they’re like, ‘Man, you know what, we get it, we’re fine. We don’t need anymore, we got it.’ But until that time, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we’ve come up with so far.”
We don’t know what the show’s future holds, but we’ll keep this page updated with any new information released on a forthcoming season 4.

When Will Ted Lasso Season 4 Release?
It’s unclear when the series might premiere on Apple TV+ because it hasn’t been formally renewed for a fourth season. However, we may make predictions about the arrival of new episodes based on the release dates of prior seasons.
Season 1 debuted in the summer of 2020, and season 2 followed in 2021, almost a year later. Seasons 2 and 3 were separated by a more enormous chasm lasting approximately two years until March 2023.
Given the present lack of clarity regarding the series’ future, we would assume that a lengthier gap than a rapid turnaround is more plausible. Therefore, an early to mid-2025 release date looks possible if a fourth season is ordered.
