Will Faith Evans and Stevie J’s Divorce Be Finalized Soon?
Stevie J Settling Divorce: He was recently told to turn up a Mercedes Sprinter van that his ex-wife, the singer, had claimed was stolen. SJ allegedly drove the family car to Coachella without his wife’s “permission,” according to reports.
She claimed she paid $164,000 in cash for the car and requested immediate custody. She stated that after she went to sleep on April 12, 2023, Stevie stole the keys and drove the Mercedes van to the Palm Desert, California event. She reported the car stolen to the police then, and a judge ordered the restitution.
The original document read, “The insurance policy does not cover [Stevie], and he is not authorized to drive.” The former couple also fought about money; Stevie J demanded money from Evans and spousal support payments.
Surprisingly, before getting married, the two music legends did NOT sign a prenuptial contract. This is implausible because they earn money and royalties from the music industry.
When Faith was arrested on a domestic violence charge in 2020 after someone contacted the police to report a physical altercation, the relationship hit its lowest point.
Police allegedly “discovered marks on Stevie’s body” and detained Evans after they sped to the couple’s Los Angeles home. After Stevie declined to testify in court, the matter was dismissed.

Why Are Stevie J and Faith Evans Getting Divorced?
On November 8, 2021, TMZ reported that DJ Stevie, 50, has requested a divorce from singer Faith, 48. According to online records, Stevie filed the divorce papers at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
It is presently unknown if a prenuptial agreement was made before their wedding. Almost a year has passed since Faith’s “domestic violence arrest” before the breakup.
Some people may not be shocked by the breakup because Stevie and Faith’s relationship has a troubled history. One year after the couple appeared to try to play down suspicions that their marriage was having problems, Faith was arrested.
The couple was clearly displeased with one another, according to TMZ, after one of their cameramen caught them exiting the Essence Festival in New Orleans.
After unfollowing each other on social media, Faith and Stevie’s relationship was problematic. Stevie sent many cryptic tweets at the time that seemed to portend a breakup.
