The Houston rapper sadly p*ssed away. On Sunday, June 18, 2023, Big Pokey p*ssed away at the age of 45 after p*ssing out after a Juneteenth performance at Pour 09 Bar in Beaumont, Texas.

He had been performing during the show when he collapsed unexpectedly, holding a microphone in his hand. After that, the rapper was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he p*ssed away.
On Sunday, June 18, fellow rapper Bun B became the first to report Pokey’s passing in an Instagram post.
He stated in a statement;
“I wasn’t ready for this. One of the most naturally talented artists in the city. Low key, humble mountain of a man who moved with honor and respect. He was easy to love and hard to hate. He’d pull up, do what he had to do and head home. One of the pillars of our city. If heart of gold was a person. Iconic member of the SUC. There will never be another and will be missed dearly.
