“Bill Reynolds, who spent almost four decades writing a popular column for the Providence Journal, as well as a dozen books, died Thursday,” they wrote.
According to the obituary, Reynolds co-wrote a book with basketball coach Rick Pitino, who is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. For many years, he was adored throughout the New England region. That was clear from the reaction to Reynolds’ death as soon as it was announced on Thursday afternoon.
