The rapper allegedly stated in the document that “there is no hope for reconciliation” and that “the marriage is irretrievably broken.” Jeezy and Mai have prenuptial agreements in place.

The representatives of Jeezy and Mai have been contacted by “Good Morning America” for comment. After meeting on Mai’s chat program “The Real” in 2018, the couple started dating. 2019’s “The Real” episode featured Mai discussing her relationship with Jeezy.

They exchanged vows in March 2021. They made the announcement of their first child together six months later. In January 2022, Mai and Jeezy welcomed their daughter Monaco Mai-Jenkins.

Jeezy expressed his “desire” for their daughter to have “joint legal custody” both temporarily and indefinitely. Jenkins talked openly about marriage in 2021, claiming that it was “in the greatest way” “1,000% different” than dating.

“I loved our dating life because we really spent such concentrated quality time getting to know each other and making sure that we were right for each other,” she said. “And now being married, it’s even more handled with such delicacy and such thoughtfulness, because we’re in our 40s and we both grew up in households that weren’t healthy marriages. We have never seen what that looks like.”
