“Sunshine State of Mind,” Kelley’s debut solo album, was released along the road. Hubbard’s self-titled solo debut album was released in January. Following Hubbard’s January debut self-titled album release interview with Rolling Stone, curiosity regarding the status of the relationship grew.
Hubbard stated in that interview that the popular combo is currently speaking in the past tense. He ascribed the breakup to a number of elements, including divergent political views, arguments on social media, and aspirations to go it alone.
At a solo homecoming performance in May in Volusia County at the Daytona Beach Bandshell, the singer debuted his brand-new track, “See You Next Summer.”
He stated in an interview with The News-Journal that while he is now concentrating on his solo career, he is still open to the possibility of a FGL reunion.
“I am sitting on go and have been. I love what we created, and I think people still want to see it. We’ll just have to see. That answer is not held with me. Right now, we’re on a break and really focusing on solo careers. I’m just excited to be focused on building my career.”
