More than merely a gifted designer, Lucia was a multi-platinum-winning creative genius whose works were featured in high-profile books published by various Penguin imprints.
Writings by authors including Ocean Vuong, Jodi Kantor, Megan Twohey, Lauren Groff, Hernan Diaz, Matt Haig, and Ruth Ozeki were given new life by her designs. Over the course of her six years with the organization, Lucia transformed every project she worked on.
Beyond her achievements in the workplace, Lucia had a contagious zest for life. Her interests were as varied as they were appealing, encompassing everything from crossword puzzles to aquatic animals, from whimsy paintings to the cozy warmth of chocolate chip cookies.
All those who had the honor of knowing Lucia were affected by her vivacious energy. She is survived by her devoted family, André and Jennie, her parents, and her sister Eenie, who all have strong ties to the publishing industry.
