Pauline Joyce Meyer, better known by her stage name Joyce Meyer, is a writer, speaker, and the president of Joyce Meyer Ministries from the United States. Meyer was sexually molested by her father when he returned from World War II, leaving her with a horrific upbringing.

Years later, Meyer divorced and returned the money. Following her divorce, Meyer would often visit neighborhood bars until she encountered engineering draftsman Dave Meyer. They were married on January 7, 1967, and together they have four adult children.
